How to Transition From Your JOB to Having Your Own Life Coaching Business and a Better Income

Most of us want to have our own business that allows us the freedom to work where we want, when we want, and with whom we want. However, many of us have no idea as to how to make that happen. With consistent marketing, and especially with a little investment of money, in time, you can find enough the clients to make a great paycheck, and a great career. I'm about to give you a simple, step by step way to transition from your job to having your own life coaching business, all while raising your financial income.

I've officially been a life coach for about 2 years, and I can honestly say, it is the most fulfilling career I could have imagined. I also know that each person has something wonderful and unique to offer this field. Imagine really helping people find wonderful, new truths, while being fully sustained by this!

Transition Coaching

Step 1: Learn how to be a Life Coach. A life coach certification program helps you not only look great in the eyes of your clients, but enhances your self-esteem, and your skills! You can even post your life coaching certificate on your website or office wall, or in the background of any videos you create.

Step 2: Decide how many people you'd ideally like to coach each week if you were a full-time coach. Determine how much you'd like to charge per person in order to have your ideal salary. For instance, maybe you'd like to coach 10 people each week, at 5 per session. That makes your (gross) monthly income about 00. Make your monthly income higher than you need, so that if people drop out or cancel, you will not be up a creek without a paddle.

Step 3: Work your regular full-time job, and begin marketing yourself for the amount of hours each week that you can spare.

Step 4: As soon as possible, take on 2 clients which you will see regularly. Set their sessions at between 30 and 60 minutes each (45 minutes is a great time frame). Reduce your marketing hours by those 2 hours per week, so you don't overwork yourself. You can expect to spend a lot of time marketing yourself especially if you are on a limited budget. You can write articles, join groups, give speeches, network, and even buy advertising. If you can handle more hours of marketing on an ongoing basis, then raise the amount of hours per week.

Step 5: Put the potential clients you get, beyond the 2 you coach regularly, on a waiting list, so you don't overload yourself. (Once again, use your discretion, to determine how much you can handle, ongoing.)

Step 6: Hold a free tele-seminar (this counts as part or your marketing hours), and invite everyone you can think of, all your friends on Facebook, and all the contacts you've made while marketing yourself.

Step 7: Recall the amount of people you want to coach per week if you were a full-time coach. For purposes of simplicity, I'll just assume it's 10. Give them a speech about valuable tip related to how to enhance their lives, and then tell them about a special 6-month coaching package you have, and what it will help them do. Offer the attendees of your seminar a discount or additional awesome freebie, and tell them you are only accepting the first 10 people.

Step 8: If you don't receive 10 applicants, put the applicants who applied on the waiting list and try again. Once you've received 10 people ready to coach with you and all the people came to you and signed up WITHIN one month, it may be time to sit down and decide if perhaps you can generate the kind of income regularly you desire. If you decide it's a wise choice, schedule all 10 clients to start after 30 days from that date, and you can now have the next 30 days to wrap up your affairs and work and begin your exciting new life, leaving that job behind!

Important: Yes, having your own business can be riskier than having a job. The market can be unpredictable. However, you can also make way more money from having your own business, have more flexibility, a greater sense of accomplishment, and truly enjoy having a business. Plus, the stability you've come to expect from jobs is becoming rarer and rarer. It's great to have a Life Coaching Certification as a backup plan, if not your main endeavor!

This is the most fulfilling career I could have imagined, and I know you have something wonderful and original to offer the field. I hope you explore it and see what it has to offer you!

Sincerely,
Lauren Marie Owen
